柿渋染めの特徴
天然染料ならではの深みと奥行きのある色合いが魅力で、着る人それぞれの暮らしや時間とともに唯一無二の表情へと変化していきます。
柿渋に含まれるタンニンが日光や酸素に触れて酸化することで、色が徐々に濃く深く変化していくのが最大の特徴。染め上げた後もこの経年変化は続き、約2年ほどかけて進行するとされます。特に着込むことで生地が柔らかく馴染み、風合いが豊かに育つため、着用者だけの「味わい」が生まれ、製品の魅力をいっそう引き立てます。
時間をかけてじっくりと育つことで完成していく、過程そのものを楽しめる特別な一着となっています。

ベースとなっているのは、YOKO SAKAMOTOのシャツカテゴリに新たに加わった新型プルオーバーシャツ。ドレスシャツのような端正で上品なパターンメイキングでありながら、程よくドロップしたショルダーラインと広めの身幅が生む力の抜けたルーズシルエットが魅力です。縫製も非常に丁寧で、どこか凛とした佇まいを持ち、レイヤードにも適した汎用性の高いデザインとなっています。

素材には、綿の平織物において世界有数の技術を誇る遠州地方の歴史ある機屋で、旧式のシャトル織機を用いて製織した超高密度タイプライターを採用。他では再現できないほどの限界密度で織り上げられており、細番手の糸を超高密度に織り込むことで動くたびにパリパリと甲高い布ズレ音が鳴る、特有の質感を備えています。その音は、まるで布そのものを纏っているかのような感覚をもたらします。
縫製後に製品染め（ガーメントダイ）を施すことで、色合いと風合いに奥行きを加え、着込むほどに独特な経年変化が楽しめる一着に仕上げています。日常着としての実用性と、素材の個性を存分に味わえる一枚です。

This piece is part of a special series hand-dyed with kakishibu (persimmon tannin) by master artisans at a historic dyeing workshop in Kyoto.
The deep, complex tones created by this natural dye give each shirt a one-of-a-kind character and a quietly powerful presence. Over time, it develops individual patina and unique fading, evolving into a garment that reflects its wearer.
The base garment is a new pullover shirt silhouette recently added to YOKO SAKAMOTO’s shirt lineup. While its patternmaking draws from classic dress shirts, the relaxed dropped shoulders and wide body give it an effortless, loose silhouette. Meticulous stitching lends it a composed look, and its design makes it highly versatile—perfect for layering and suitable for all-season wear.
The fabric is an ultra high-density typewriter cloth woven on vintage shuttle looms at a historic mill in Japan’s Enshū region, known for its world-class cotton weaving. The fine yarns are woven so densely that the fabric emits a distinct crisp rustling sound as it moves, offering a sensation as if you’re truly wrapped in cloth. After sewing, the piece undergoes garment dyeing, which, combined with the kakishibu finish, enhances the depth of color and gives each shirt a singular texture and expression that becomes richer with wear.
