深い夜に雪が降り積もる情景を、編み地によって表現したニットプルオーバー。
12月から1月へと日付を跨ぐ真夜中の雪景色をイメージし、異なる色や質感を持つ糸を複雑に織り交ぜることで、暗闇の中を舞う雪のような奥行きのある表情を作り上げています。
素材には、エクストラファインウールを使用した「パフコット」と、オーガニックコットンによる「リバーススラブオーガニックコットン」という、特徴の異なる2種類の糸を使用。
パフコットは、トライスピンという手法によって作られた柔らかく嵩高なエクストラファインウールの紡績ブークレをベースに、特殊なピッチのコットンスラブを撚り合わせた素材。非常に軽く柔らかな風合いを持ち、ブークレの間から不規則に現れるスラブ糸によって、独特の斑模様を生み出しています。
リバーススラブオーガニックコットンは、一般的な綿スラブ糸とは逆の構造を持つ特殊なファンシーヤーン。スラブ部分を多くすることで生まれる絶妙な透け感とナチュラルな表情が特徴です。さらにスラブ部分に撚りを入れないことで、コットンでありながら軽く、ふんわりとソフトな風合いに仕上げられています。
それぞれ異なる特徴を持つウールとコットンの糸を組み合わせ、その質感や色彩の重なりそのものを雪景色へと昇華。素材開発から編みの表現まで作り込まれた、情景を纏うような一着です。

A knitted pullover that captures the image of snow falling through the depths of night.
Inspired by a midnight snowscape crossing from December into January, the design combines yarns of different colors and textures to create a richly layered surface reminiscent of snow drifting through the darkness.
The knit is constructed using two distinctive yarns: “Puffcot,” made with extra-fine wool, and “Reverse Slub Organic Cotton,” a specially developed organic cotton yarn.
Puffcot is based on a soft, voluminous, and exceptionally lightweight extra-fine wool spun bouclé produced using a technique known as Tri-Spin. A cotton slub yarn with an irregular pitch is twisted into the bouclé, creating distinctive flecks and variations that emerge unpredictably across the surface.
Reverse Slub Organic Cotton is a special fancy yarn made from organic cotton with a structure opposite to that of conventional cotton slub yarns. Its high proportion of slub sections creates a subtle sense of transparency and a naturally irregular texture. As these sections are left largely untwisted, the yarn also achieves an exceptionally light and soft feel.
By intertwining these contrasting wool and cotton yarns, their different colors and textures merge into a richly expressive knitted surface. From the development of the yarns to the construction of the knit itself, every element works together to evoke the atmosphere of a midnight snowscape.
