これまでにないライダースを目指し、独自のパターン設計から加工の入れ方まで、長い時間をかけて研究と調整を重ねて製作。クラシックなダブルライダースをベースとしながら、素材、加工、シルエットのすべてにANCELLMの探究心を落とし込んだ一着です。
素材には、美しい艶を持つ上質なホースレザーを使用。本来であればそのままでも十分な完成度を持つ革に対し、表面のコーティングを特殊な加工によって剥離。さらに独自の洗いを何度も重ねることで、不規則な色ムラと縮みによる凹凸を生み出しています。加工によって現れる複雑な陰影と荒々しい表情は、一点一点で異なり、ホースレザーだからこそ生まれる深い奥行きと唯一無二の存在感を放ちます。
しっかりとしたレザーを使用しながらも、着用時の重量を全体へ分散させるよう緻密にパターンを設計。レザー特有の動きづらさを軽減し、自然な落ち感と収まりの良いシルエットを実現しています。
襟の開き方やベルトの使い方によって様々な着こなしができるよう、各パーツの配置やバランスも細かく調整。フロントを開けてラフに羽織るスタイルから、ベルトを締めた力強い着こなしまで、スタイリングによって異なる表情を楽しめます。

A double riders jacket crafted from carefully selected premium horsehide and transformed through bold processing into a distinctly ANCELLM expression.
Created with the aim of producing a riders jacket unlike anything seen before, extensive time was devoted to developing the original pattern and refining every aspect of the finishing process. While rooted in the classic double riders jacket, the material, processing, and silhouette all reflect ANCELLM’s exploratory approach to design.
The jacket is made from high-quality horsehide originally finished with a beautiful, lustrous coating. Rather than leaving this premium leather untouched, the surface coating is partially stripped away through a specialized process before the garment undergoes repeated proprietary washing treatments. This creates irregular variations in color as well as a distinctive uneven texture caused by shrinkage. The resulting depth, shadow, and rugged character vary from piece to piece, producing an expression that could only be achieved with horsehide.
Despite the substantial nature of the leather, the pattern has been carefully engineered to distribute its weight across the body. This reduces the restrictive feel often associated with leather jackets while allowing the silhouette to fall naturally and sit cleanly when worn.
The positioning and balance of each component have also been carefully adjusted to accommodate different ways of wearing the jacket. The collar, front opening, and belt can be arranged in various ways, allowing the piece to shift from a relaxed, open style to a more powerful belted silhouette.
By deliberately applying intensive processing to a leather that would ordinarily be prized in its untouched state, ANCELLM draws out an entirely different side of premium horsehide. A distinctive riders jacket that embodies the brand’s approach to material experimentation and craftsmanship.
