様々な国の古いフライトジャケットを参考に、現代のスタイルへとモディファイしたボンバージャケット。
昨シーズンから継続して製作されているモデルをベースに、今季はフライトジャケット本来の機能的な背景に着目。緊急時の救命用として視認性を高めるために用いられてきたレスキューオレンジをライニングに採用し、着用時に内側からさりげなく覗く差し色として取り入れています。
着丈は短めに設定しながらも、極端なショート丈にはせず、様々なスタイリングに取り入れやすいバランスに設計。緻密なパターンメイキングによって生地の落ち感と収まりを整え、ボリュームがありながらもすっきりとしたシルエットに仕上げています。
襟元には僅かに和装を思わせるニュアンスを取り入れ、首周りにゆとりを持たせた独特の設計。タートルネックやフーディなどを重ねた際にも窮屈になりにくく、インナーとのレイヤードを楽しめるバランスです。
表地のナイロンには強いフェード加工を施し、化学繊維では珍しい、深く燻んだ色合いと奥行きのある表情を表現。さらにダメージ加工を重ねることで、長年着込まれたフライトジャケットのようなキャラクターを加えています。ナイロンへのフェードは繊細な調整を必要とするため、素材と加工の限界を探りながら試行錯誤を重ねて作り上げられています。
比較的軽量でありながらしっかりとした暖かさを備え、インナーの調整によって長いシーズン着用可能。ヴィンテージフライトジャケットの機能や背景を紐解きながら、シルエットと加工の両面から現代的に再構築した一着です。

A bomber jacket inspired by vintage flight jackets from various countries and reinterpreted for a contemporary wardrobe.
Continuing from the model introduced last season, this version looks more closely at the original functional background of flight jackets. Rescue orange, historically used to improve visibility in emergency situations, is incorporated into the lining, appearing subtly as a contrasting color during wear.
The length is kept short without becoming excessively cropped, creating a balanced proportion that works easily across a wide range of styling. Precise patternmaking emphasizes the natural drape and controlled shape of the jacket, allowing its volume to settle cleanly around the body.
The collar incorporates a subtle nuance inspired by traditional Japanese clothing, creating additional space around the neck. This allows turtlenecks, hoodies, and other layered pieces to sit comfortably underneath while adding depth to the styling.
The nylon outer fabric is treated with an intensive fading process, producing a deeply muted, nuanced appearance rarely seen in synthetic materials. Additional distressing further develops its character, evoking the appearance of a flight jacket worn over many years. Achieving this degree of fading on nylon requires particularly delicate control, and the finish was developed through repeated experimentation to explore the limits of both the material and the processing technique.
Relatively lightweight yet comfortably warm, the jacket can be worn across an extended season by adjusting the layers underneath. Drawing on the function and history of vintage flight jackets while reworking their silhouette and surface treatment, it offers a distinctly contemporary interpretation of the classic bomber.
